Itinerary

2 nights / Sayulita

Day 1: Welcome to Mexico! Your private transportation will be waiting for you at Puerto Vallarta International Airport. We recommend you arrive by 3pm to make it for the group welcome drinks! The tour starts in vibrant Sayulita with rooftop drinks at our high end boutique hotel. We will then take a short tour of the Pueblo Magico (“Magic Town”) of Sayulita before heading to our first group dinner! We will enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine at a famous beach front restaurant. Explore the town at leisure and enjoy the vibrant nightlife.
Day 2: Try out your skills at an easy going surf lesson, or take a hike through the jungle to a hidden beach where you can do a yoga class or relax on the beach. The group will then head out to get tasty street tacos for lunch at a popular spot for al pastor tacos! We will head back to the rooftop of the hotel for a private tequila tasting and pairing experience. At leisure, explore the magic of Sayulita’s beaches, shops & restaurants. In the evening, we will learn more about Mexican food and culture during a cooking lesson with a local family.

2 nights / San Pancho

Day 3: Get the day started with a sound healing experience on the beach. We then take a short 15 minute trip to the nearby town of San Pancho. We will be staying at a luxury boutique hotel for the next two nights! We’ll get settled into the hotel and then take a tour of this eccentric town. Let’s get to the beach- time to soak in the sun and focus on relaxation at a luxury beach club. After an afternoon in bliss, you’ll head back to the hotel feeling totally rejuvenated. Enjoy the rooftop pool or San Pancho town at your leisure. We will have dinner at a local restaurant where they serve up some of the freshest seafood.
Day 4: Enjoy a leisure filled morning before we head out on our boat excursion! We will be traveling to the famous Marietas Islands. Relax with a cocktail while we sail away to some of the best beaches in the area! These uninhabited islands are a nature haven and are a fantastic snorkel spot. December-March, the Bay of Banderas is filled with humpback whales and you are almost guaranteed to spot these majestic beings! After our day at sea, we will head back to San Pancho and you can spend time at your leisure. For dinner, we will check out San Pancho’s taco scene and visit some of the tastiest local taco cantinas!

1 night / San Sebastian del Oeste

Day 5: We say our goodbyes to Riviera Nayarit and start the two hour scenic drive through the Sierra Madre Mountains to the Pueblo Magico (“Magic Town”) of San Sebastian del Oeste. We meet with Proyecto Nebulosa, a local project focused on sustainable farming & Raicilla making. We will visit the farm and then try those ingredients at their world class restaurant, Jardin Nebulosa. After we are filled with fresh and delicious food, we will take the short tour of the historical town center with a special beverage that San Sebastian is known for. At leisure, enjoy the most luxurious hotel in town before our group dinner at the hotel’s delicious restaurant.

1 night / Quimixto

Day 6: Time to leave the mountains behind and venture back to the beach! Before we begin our two hour drive to Quimixto, we will stop at a local outdoor bakery that serves the freshest pastries! Our destination is Boca de Tomatlan where we transfer to a boat to get to the boat access only town of Quimixto, Jalisco. After checking into our beachfront boutique hotel, we will take a short hike or horseback ride to the nearby waterfall and enjoy a drink and snacks at the falls. Jump into the refreshing water near the falls for a swim! After the falls, enjoy the stunning beach of Quimixto at your leisure. We will enjoy dinner as a group at the hotel in Quimixto and prepare for a restful sleep.

1 night / Puerto Vallarta

Day 7: Get moving with a yoga class followed by a breakfast with the ocean view. We will then say goodbye to Quimixto and depart via boat for the short 30 minute drive to the city of Puerto Vallarta. We stay at a modern boutique hotel that is only steps from the ocean and Malecon. We will enjoy the afternoon at a beach club before heading out for an authentic taco tour! You’ll get tips for all the best secret taco spots and learn more about the fascinating city of Puerto Vallarta. We will share farewell drinks with the group to reminisce on the magical week.
Day 8: Final day- We will have breakfast at the hotel before saying our farewells! Our private transportation will take you onward to Puerto Vallarta International Airport. We can’t wait to see you back in Mexico!

What's is included on the Trip? What does an All-Inclusive Tour mean?

TIY Tours are an all-inclusive experience. The tours are designed so that every is handled from the moment you get off the plane until you are departing for home. We fully coordinate boutique accommodation, ground transportation, activities, food & more to make sure you have a worry free travel experience.

We recommend budgeting an additional $30/ day for additional food, shopping, and alcohol. This budget is highly dependent on your preferences. As we like to say, your trip your choice!

What if I can't pay the full trip cost upfront?

No Problem! Just pay the deposit and the flexible payment plan helps travelers pay for the trip overtime. When booking a tour with TIY Travel, we offer our travelers two different payment plan options. Travelers may choose to pay the entire trip cost at the time of booking or pay for the trip in installments.

A $250 deposit is already included in total trip costs. For both payment options, this deposit is non-refundable and is applied towards the costs of planning and organizing the trip itineraries.

What happens if I need to cancel my trip?

We get it; life happens. We want you to be able to book with confidence and to know that TIY will do our best to get you on the trip of your dreams. We offer flexible payment plans, a one time booking modification and a worry free cancellation up to 60 days ahead of your trip departure. Please read the terms in detail here.

What's the average age of travelers on TIY tours?

We welcome all travelers 21+ on TIY’s small group tours, with the average travelers’ age ranging from 25-50. TIY Private Tours welcome families & children of all ages.

Can I book the trip as a solo traveler? Can I come with friends?

Of course! A lot of TIY travelers come alone. TIY travel allows you to be yourself, while retaining a sense of community.

We have private and shared accommodation options for solo travelers.

We love having couples, families & friends on our tours! If you have a group of 8 or more, look into our TIY Private Tours.
